Harambee Festival on Saturday, October 5th following the Grove Park 5K. This year, we are proud to present volume 2.0 of the Harambee Festival: CULTIVATE, coinciding with the Juneteenth weekend.
For those unfamiliar, "Harambee" is a Swahili term meaning "all pull together." It embodies the spirit of unity and collective effort, a principle deeply rooted in African tradition and culture. This concept of coming together as a community to achieve common goals is at the heart of the Harambee Festival.
This year's theme, CULTIVATE, speaks to this year’s focus of bringing to life Grove Park's Main Street corridor, and the importance of economic stability for the businesses in the community.
The festivities will highlight the coming Grove Park Performing & Cultural Arts Center with a lineup of performances, and featuring a variety of vendors, entertainment, and family activities.
So mark your calendars, check out social media for our entertainment lineup, and spread the word! Let us come together in the spirit of harambee to celebrate our community, support our local businesses, and cultivate a brighter future for generations to come.
